FIRST  is an international organization that promotes STEM in schools.  The FIRST Robotics Competition is the largest high school robotics competition in the world.  During my junior year of high school, I helped found a FIRST robotics team at my high school.  As electronics captain my senior year, I helped lead the team to a 1st place finish at the FIRST Lone Star Regional.  I also served as community outreach coordinator my senior year.  In this position, I started and established mentoring programs for 3 First Lego League teams in the Houston area.  I also organized

VEX Robotics Competition is specifically tailored to bring the magic of robotics competition into the classroom. During my senior year of high school, I helped mentor new team members in the 2009 VEX Robotics Competition. 

I have recently become involved with high power rocketry.  I acquired my Level 1 Certification in April 2011.  Rockets make loud noises.  Whoosh!
