Summer 2010 - Coors-1X

In my spare time at the NASA Robotics Academy, I built Coors-1X with Lars Osborne.  The body has three Coors Light cans and one bottle for the nose cone.  We used a Coke can (which has a slightly larger diameter) for the sleeve.  The two parts were able to slide out of the sleeve at apogee for the parachute to deploy.  We only recovered the bottom half of the rocket because the shock cord came loose from the bottle.  We also designed the launch system using wire, a car battery, and alligator clips.
